Founded

Founded by a group of doctors from Dosher Hospital and volunteers. Began providing medical care from a single room in the Brunswick Community College Annex in Southport. Served 38 individuals in the first year.

1998

Growth

Expanded services with the help of community support, grants, and donations. Gradually grew the patient population and volunteer base.

2000's

New Clinic Location

With the help of its donors, opened a new 4,000 sq. ft. facility in Boiling Spring Lakes, offering care five days a week to uninsured low income adults in Brunswick County.

2010

Present Day

With a small paid staff and more than 130 volunteers contributing 8,000 hours each year, the clinic facilitates approximately 5,000 patient encounters annually.

Facilitated Services

Facilitated $6,120,381 worth of services in 2023 with a $749,058 operating budget.

2023

Medicaid

Expanded services to accept Medicaid patients, increasing access to healthcare.

2024

Wellness Wagon

Launched the Mobile Medical Program, which includes: The Wellness Wagon – a mobile healthcare clinic driving healthcare to communities across the county.
